"Your home away from home" Architect designed spacious mountain top hideaway only 10 minutes from Nelson. It's very private with river and mountain views from every window.

We operate a 300 acre family farm growing peonies and other perennials, and will be expanding to organic vegetables in 2008. We operate a Managed Forest and Woodlot through the Ministry of Forests Woodlot Program, established in 1998. We practice sustainable forestry.

Want to get close to nature? Our farm is the perfect spot for viewing local wildlife, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing right outside our guest house door. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to be. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

We also have an extensive library of books, and videos to watch while you are curled up by the fireplace. In the summer enjoy the kitchen deck complete with large retractable awning.

• 3 bedrooms and 1 semi-private bedroom, plus rollaway cot and crib (two Queen beds, one Double bed and two Twin beds.)
• 1 full bathroom with washer and dryer downstairs, plus two 1/2 baths (sink & toilet) off bedrooms.
• Full cooking and laundry facilities - all dishes and linens supplied. We only use eco-friendly cleaning products!
• TV/VCR/DVD - cable and internet.
• Large wrap-around decks.
• New Air Source Heat Pump System - heats in winter and air-conditions in summer.

Also, Taghum Stop Shell on Highway 3A is the closest full service gas station, store and liquor outlet. They sell regular gas, diesel, and propane. You can also buy fishing licences, maps, and a whole host of necessities including farm fresh eggs!
